Saintz Image is the ongoing creative work of photographer Mark St. Clair, currently based in Newcastle NSW Australia.

Mark takes pride in his specialized private or corporate commissions of portraiture, event, themed, fine art figurative and product photography. His highly individual style comes from decades of experience in the visual arts field in Australia, Britain, USA and New Zealand which includes photography in classic and digital media, promotion and window display.

  His view of the world is unique, with no limitations to ongoing trends and styles. He is recognized for his fearless exploration into the difficult area of darker tonal range, which he embraces head on. Mark's diverse talents were further demonstrated through two exhibitions during 2009, "Femme, a perspective through the lens",(figurative) and "The upper hand" (portrait).


Mark St. Clair is a curator at GALLERY RAW, Newcastle's only photo dedicated gallery and studio. Mark also provides one on one tutoring in photography and low light techniques for beginners and new digital SLR artists.

Being an outdoor nature photographer I haven’t spent much time in a studio environment.  After a couple of hours training with Mark I felt confident to start experimenting with still life portraits using different lighting techniques.  I have just completed a macro study of plants and flowers with low lighting effects and am excited with the results.  Mark supplied excellent one on one training and his training technique was personal, straight forward and easy to absorb.  I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Mark's tutorials.
